AWI chairman among five directors seeking re-election to the Board

15/08/2008 12:39:00 PM
The chairman of Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), Brian van Rooyen, is among five existing board members standing for re-election at the annual general meeting in November.

Nominations for election to the AWI board open on September 20.

The three recently appointed members of the AWI board, Ken Boundy, Ms Robyn Clubb and Dr John Keniry are required by the AWI constitution to stand for election this year and have been nominated by the board.

Fellow director Dr Chris Abell is also seeking re-election.

AWI says anyone can nominate in writing before October 8, provided he or she is supported by at least 100 AWI shareholders.

The election of directors will be held at the AWI annual general meeting in Perth, Western Australia, on November 19.
