Landmark announces alliance with E*TRADE

6/06/2008 10:43:00 AM
Landmark has joined forces with innovative online trading company E*TRADE Australia to facilitate online share trading services for rural and regional clients.

Landmark's base of agribusiness clients and their unique financial needs prompted its decision to join with E*TRADE to offer clients a more convenient way to invest.

General manager for Landmark's Financial Services, Colin Taylor, says the alliance will utilise the existing Landmark distribution platform and website to provide clients with access to online share trading.

"This complements Landmark's journey of the past two years to build a diversified financial services offering, which has included the acquisition of Adelaide Bank's rural finance book, the formation of a wealth alliance with Genesys Wealth Management and the launch of new transactional account services," Mr Taylor said.

E*TRADE managing director, John Daley, said the alliance with Landmark aimed to provide rural and regional Australians with more convenient access to online trading.

"We recognise that regional customers are looking for improved access to online trading that is both simple and convenient," he said.

"E*Trade’s alliance with Landmark will provide customers with simple information, products and tools to buy and sell shares online, as well as access to more than 500 managed funds."
