Property rights theft akin to communism: Barnaby

03 Feb, 2010 09:40 AM
OUTSPOKEN Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce was not afraid to use the c-word at Tuesday's property rights rally in Canberra.

“There’s a word for it: When the Government’s divesting the individual of the asset, and divesting for communal ownership the word is called ‘Communism’,” he said.

“You cannot just unplug my television set and walk out the door with it and not expect me to chase you. (Those here) are the people who have turned up to chase (their) asset.”

The Senator announced that while he could not deliver any results on the day, the Coalition would instigate a wide-ranging Senate inquiry into the loss of farmers’ property rights – an announcement that was met with an emphatic cheer from the crowd.

But Senator Joyce would not be limited to just property rights – the Queenslander also claimed the Government was not just after assets, they were also after income in the form of an ETS.

“And remember it is politically incorrect to call the bleeding obvious and say ‘No, I won’t let you just walk away with my wallet – No, I want my wallet back!’”

Earlier in the day, farmers marched from Magna Carta Place to the "bunker" on the hill, as they named it, where the Government did not send a representative to listen to their claims as opposition and farm lobby groups addressed the 3000-strong crowd.

National Socialism Refugee Rudd style!

What a weak jerk Kevin Rudd is not to have a representative at yesterday's rally. Just goes to show what their intention is ... What is a socialist? One who has yearnings for equal division of unequal earnings. Idler or bungler, or both, he is willing to plonk down his penny and pocket your shilling.

Was that Kevin Mugabe or Robert Rudd? I keep getting that mixed up!

I've always said you are not the sharpest tool in the shed, Loc Hey.

Actually it was the Howard government which urged the States to enact the vegetation legislation and did so with the assistance of millions of dollars of compensation. You lot don't know what you are talking about at all.

There you go again Bushie. Are you one of Krudds Staffers? Or Labor's Number one supporter?

Whitlam started it. Hawke and Keating followed it through. Howard just about finished it off. Barnaby Joyce is the first voice of sanity we have heard for 30 or more years. Why? The problem has to be in our academies. People who refuse to see the truth, who still believe that Stalin and Pol Pot were great blokes. Clearly "Bushie Bill" studied under them.

My sister now a professor and teacher in the states was taught by our communist school system that the Russians were more efficient wool producers than we were. It did not matter that they grew half the wool per sheep or fed them half their life to keep them alive according to her teachers when she was a student they were more efficient. What balderdash! Yes the last 30 years learning has a lot to answer for. Vivienne is obviously a pathetic product of this system. I pray for her and others to see the light and maybe one day she will.

The giant protest letter shown at the march was not even accepted after the marchers dispersed! I saw a suited gentleman leaving with it and spoke to him. They apparently said they would not accept a protest letter! The Gentleman said they would now cover it with the required stamps and send it by registered post. It's beyond words?
