CBH chief retires

1/10/2008 4:01:00 PM
CBH chief executive Imre Mencshelyi has announced his retirement after 14 years at the helm of the WA-based group.

Mr Mencshelyi will step down from the CBH Group in April 2009, following 42 years with CBH.

In making the announcement, CBH Group chairman Neil Wandel paid tribute to Mr Mencshelyi’s contribution to the CBH Group.

"Few individuals in this industry could attest to having achieved the significant outcomes for Western Australian grain growers that Mr Mencshelyi has," Mr Wandel said.

"Under his leadership, the CBH Group has grown from a $170 million grain warehouse operator in the year 2000 to an integrated agribusiness dealing in storage and handling, grain marketing, processing and engineering valued in excess of $1.5 billion in 2008."
