Exceptional demand for Hay sheep

About 42,000 sheep sold to exceptional demand at the annual September sheep sale at Hay on Friday.

A large crowd bid freely for the sheep which presented in exceptional condition considering the drought conditions in the Western Riverina.

The '07-drop Merino ewes sold to $84 and averaged $64.50, with '05/06 drop ewes making to $73 to average $62.
