With more registered buyers than catalogued rams the Classings Classic sale was always odds on favourite to be an outstanding sale at the Murray Bridge racecourse on Friday.
And it came home a winner featuring the highest priced ram sold in South Australia for 2008 and a magical $3149 average - up an impressive $551 on the 2007 sale.
Three Poll Merino rams cracked the $10,000 mark, including the $39,000 sale topper offered by Peter and Marianne Wallis, Glenlea Park, Pinnaroo.
