AS THE year draws to a close residents of Queensland will be happy to know that the rain will keep on coming... at least until the end of next weekend.
Much of southern and eastern QLD has had less than 80 per cent of its expected yearly rainfall, with parts of the Central Highlands district most affected by the deficiency.
Thankfully, there has been some widespread deluges to help ease the situation.
In the 24 hours to 9am, Mackay and Bollong were the big wet winners, with 127 millimetres and 116mm respectively.
Roma, Georgetown, Texas, Inglewood and St Lawrence all notched up more than 50mm - indeed, St Lawrence recorded 79mm - with Rockhampton just missing out on the half-century at 48mm.
