Boulia experiences the wet

13 Jan, 2010 12:42 PM
THE wet season is here - plenty of water is flowing through rivers and creek beds in North West Queensland after some heavy rains over the past few weeks.

Mudgeacca Station in the Boulia Shire is one property that has been indundated with flood waters already.

These photos were taken on Sunday by station managers Cindy and David Nicholls.

While the station has only received about an inch of rain, heavy rains from up north have flowed down to their region, creeping up to the homestead and isolating bores.

"That's where the cows get their water from but there's plenty of that for them at the moment," Ms Nicholls said.
