CQ gears up for Collinsville Rodeo

04 Feb, 2012 04:00 AM
ONE of the most popular rodeos in Central Queensland is the Collinsville Rodeo, returning this year on April 28.

This ABCRA-affiliated rodeo will have all open, novice and junior competitions, with nominations closing on April 19 or April 20 (check the ABCRA website).

Spectators can look forward to a full card of rodeo action including saddle bronc, bareback, bull riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing and breakaway roping.

Admission is a very reasonable $10/head for adults and a $25 family pass for two adults and two children for the great rodeo on the Saturday and the Saturday night hoedown.

Admission on the Sunday is free of charge.

Free camping facilities will be available at the rodeo ground on Coolum Road, Collinsville, and live music will be provided by 52-Pick-up to entertain crowds for the Saturday Night hoedown.
