SOME huge totals have been recorded around Queensland from the weekend's rainfall, which has caused flooding in many parts.
After inundating the tropical north on Saturday, the system stemming from Ex-Tropical Cyclone Olga moved south on Sunday, bringing widespread heavy rain.
In the 24 hours to 9am Monday, St Lawrence in Central Queensland posted the highest official total of 202mm, while further south Yeppoon recorded 162mm, and Gladstorne Airport 143mm.
Further inland, Rolleston received 108mm, Springsure 82mm, Taroom 88mm, Rockhampton 68mm, the Brigalow Research Station received 69mm, Blackall 53mm, Tambo 51mm, Baralabah 36mm and Emerald 37mm.
In Southern Queensland Charleville received a whopping 114mm, Injune 74mm, Mitchell and Roma both received 58mm, Miles scored 37mm, and drought-ravaged Toowoomba received 43mm.
However, there have been anecdotal reports of many farmers located in a north-south belt between Rockhampton and Emerald having received little or no rain.
