The “Belle from Bindaroon”

21/08/2008 4:00:00 AM
A NORTH West lady has strutted her stuff in the Big Smoke and impressed the judges along the way.

Nicole Bulley, Bindaroon Station, Julia Creek was talked into running for Miss Showgirl for the Cloncurry show earlier and won it giving her a return flight to Townsville as part of the prize.

It also gave her the opportunity to compete in the regional section which included Longreach, Barcaldine, Hughenden and Winton.

The “Belle from Bindaroon” won this as well and then went to Brisbane to compete with 11 other regional finalists from around the Queensland for the state title held over the Royal Brisbane Exhibition last week.

The 11 finalists were put up at the Brisbane Riverview Hotel for five days during which time they visited Parliament House, Government House and attended formal dinners and interviews.

The North was also represented by Nicola Lister, Cairns and Becky Maguire, Emerald.
