Ed Morrison to have another crack at Katter in Kennedy

18 Nov, 2009 04:00 AM
CLONCURRY businessman Ed Morrison will contest the seat of Kennedy at next year’s federal election.

The family man ran against Member for Kennedy Bob Katter at the last election and will run again as the Liberal National Party candidate.

Mr Morrison is a former Cloncurry Shire Council Mayor and the owner and operator of several businesses in the town.

He also helped to organise the inaugural air show which was staged as part of the Cloncurry Merry Muster.

North Queensland Senator Ian Macdonald said the endorsement would mean opposition leader Malcolm Turnbull would have a very strong team of candidates in the north to join the fight to bring North Queensland back into the Coalition fold.

Good luck, Ed. The era of the agrarian socialist has truly passed its use-by date. "The World Owes Me a Living" attitude has held this country back for too long.

I heard today that the LNP candidate in Townsville is handing preferences to the Greens. Is this a fact?
