FINE weather and a world record attempt were the order of the day for Innisfail's 95th annual show day this year.
Grahame Celledoni snapped 96 bananas in a single minute for a Guinness Book of World Records attempt.
The record, yet to be officially awarded, bettered the old record (held overseas) by two bananas.

With more than 8000 people through the gate, Show Society president Bruce Lowe said the organisers were very pleased with the results, considering the number of other high-profile events occurring in the district over the particular weekend.
"The pavilions and grounds were filled with many new competitors and exhibitors," he said.
New competitors dominated the well supported cattle schedule, with first-time Innisfail exhibitors Barry and Barbara Sheppard winning six awards, including grand champion beast and grand champion pen of fat cattle.
Last year's most successful cattle exhibitor, John Buljubasith, took out reserve grand champion pen of fat cattle and reserve grand champion beast.
With some segments of the poultry still in recovery mode following Cyclone Larry, numbers of birds were still slightly down on averages, but of no lesser quality.
Experienced breeders Keith Waugh Senior and Junior picked up champion hard feather, while Selena McMurray took out champion soft feather bird with her Chinese silky.
Papaws were highly contested this year, but C and H Darveniza turned out overall winners with champion carton in the solos, yellows and dioecious red categories.
Other popular events included a packed two days of equestrian events and the return of the woodchop.
