Bringing Brangus bulls to the forefront

02 May, 2011 01:32 PM
BRAD Saunders has been breeding registered Brangus bulls on his Pheasant Creek Brangus Stud at Wowan, 80km south-west of Rockhampton, for the past 12 years.

To help promote this increasingly popular breed of bulls, Brad, along with Lindsay Barlow, Triple B Brangus Stud at Dingo, and Brad Comiskey, Lunar Brangus, Emerald, will be bringing 15 purebred Brangus bulls to the Charters Towers Field Days.

"All three of us who will be exhibiting at the field days are very customer conscious and will be bringing quality bulls for viewing," Brad told the North Queensland Register.

He said that in past years, he had picked up many clients from those who inspected his bulls at the Charters Towers Field Days.

These bulls will be for inspection and display, and will be offered for sale at the Charters Towers Invitational Brangus Sale in November, which to date has 100 registered and herd bulls catalogued ? bulls that will make excellent sires for any herd.

The bulls at the November 7 sale at the Dalrymple Saleyards sale will be supplied by the three above studs, with bulls also coming from the Coolabah Stud, Bonilla Creek Stud, Silent Creek Stud and Oaklands Brangus Stud.

Ag-Grow Charters Towers patrons can be assured they will have some high-quality registered Brangus to inspect at Charters Towers from May 18-20.
