Leongatha cattle buyers hit the brakes

The brakes were on at Pakenham store sale last Thursday, with buyers revealing a general reluctance in their bidding as cattle sold at cheaper rates, with the biggest falls seen on plainer cattle.

The fall reflected a general ease in prime market rates, the season getting drier and more cattle come forward.
