DARREN and Sue Kent of the Ooline Brahman Stud are looking forward to presenting their top quality bull sale team at the upcoming Big Country Sale on February 6 and 7.
"We truly believe they are an outstanding team of well- muscled beef sires that will be a valuable addition to any progressive stud or commercial herd," Mr Kent said.
"The bulls will be offered with current vet certificates, carcase scan data including IMF percentage, rump, rib fat, and eye muscle measurements, and have been tested negative for pestivirus."
Mr Kent said the entire team had been sired by Ooline's outstanding sire success, NCC Springbok, and were out of highly fertile and consistent dam lines.
"All are natural calves which show the strength of character Springbok possesses, that will no doubt be passed on to their progeny," he said.
"Springbok has produced 18 natural sale sons for us this year with another 20-odd selected for next year's sale and showing season.
"They have a gentle disposition and active virility like their sire."
Included in the Ooline draft are two red light-pigment sires (lots 13 and 14).
Mr Kent said lots 13 and 14 show tremendous muscling, bone and structural correctness, with excellent temperament.
"Lots 18 and 19 are two red, polled sire prospects that possess excellent bone, conformation and muscle patterns that are rarely found in poll bulls," Mr Kent said.
"We are also offering three outstanding red horned bulls (lots 15, 16 and 17) exhibiting strong pigmentation and a sirey outlook, with the trademark Springbok body."
"Also on offer is a grey poll sire (lot 110) with strong character, masculinity, muscle, volume he has huge sire appeal."
The Kent family would welcome any inquiry on this draft or pre-sale inspections at Wilden, Goovigen (1 hour and 20 minutes from Rockhampton), any time prior to the sale.
