THE talk in the cattle industry is that top breeders from Queensland are looking to chase the big $10,000 cash prize at the 2010 NSW Beef Spectacular and Trade Expo hoof and hook steer and heifer competitions.
Entries are closing fast for the hoof and hook led and pen of three steers or heifers competition, sponsored by Speckle Park Cattle Company, in which the $10,000 cash prize is set to attract strong competition to one of the richest events on the show circuit.
Due to harvest, the drier season and school holidays, entry deadlines have been extended for the steer competitions to January 4.
