Actons sell Crewkerne for $2.5m

05 Oct, 2009 02:40 PM
Cattle barons Graeme and Evan Acton have sold their 8255 hectare station Crewkerne, north of Longreach, Queensland for about $2.5 million.

The Australian Financial Review reports that the brothers, estimated to be worth $254 million in the latest BRW Rich List, have put more than 60,000ha of grazing country on the market, including the trophy Bowen Downs, which they bought for $16.6 million last year, and Rugby Run for which they paid $15.7 million for a month later.

Virgil Kenny from Elders negotiated the deal after the property was passed in at auction.
