Beef baron sells off organic operation

22 Mar, 2010 08:59 AM
PART of Sir Graham McCamley's pastoral empire is expected to come onto the market soon.

Speculation persists that the cattle baron, whose wealth was estimated last year at almost $300 million, is likely to sell off his famous Glenprairie Station, which includes properties such as Oakleigh, Stoodleigh and Tanderra and covers about 46,000 hectares.

Run as an organic beef operation, it has a carrying capacity of about 18,000 head of cattle.

Glenprairie has been valued at up to $80 million.
