McCamley sale back on after tragedy

21 Jun, 2010 09:23 AM
QUEENSLAND cattle baron Sir Graham McCamley will press ahead with the sale of his $80 million to $90 million Glenprairie Station in central Queensland after the tragic death of his wife Shirley in April put the offering in doubt.

Mr McCamley told The Australian Financial Review that the tributes to his wife had been overwhelming and that he would recognise a promise he made to his wife to sell the property and wind back his cattle interests.

The landmark 46,500-hectare Glenprairie outside Rockhampton is one of the largest organic cattle operations in Australia.
