Pinora West passed in at $1.7m

17 Dec, 2011 04:00 AM
THE top quality 1747ha Jackson/Wandoan property Pinora West was passed in on a genuine bid of $1.7 million at auction on Friday in Roma.

Offered by the mortgagee in possession, the well improved property on the Western Darling Downs is estimated to run 600 mixed cattle, 400 breeders or 1000 weaners with crop.

Selling agent Vince O’Brien, Elders said six parties had registered to bid at the sale. More than 50 people attended the auction in the Club Hotel, he said.

Pinora West is described as brigalow, belah, and bottle tree country with bambatsi, buffel, panics, silk Rhodes and natural clover pastures. Improvements include a homestead, cottage, shed, yards and silage pits.

The property is subdivided into 21 paddocks with laneways with a “fail safe” water supply.

Elders also is conducting a clearing sale on Pinora West tomorrow (December 17).
