“Growers have committed significant money and time in having independent farm productivity assessments, undertaking nutrient management programs and managing the use of a range of inputs in compliance with national standards.
“The State Government is planning to introduce nutrient calculators and new measures that may result in growers having to start from scratch with a new set of processes developed in splendid isolation from current industry best management practices. Their approach is totally ill-informed and bureaucratic.”
